There is almost always music playing in my home. The only time there’s not is because we’re watching a show or sleeping. Most of the time, the music is what I’d call meditative or spiritual music since this is where I work and write. The other day, I was looking for something to play and saw “Music to attract your guardian angel.”
That made me sad. The reason it made me sad is that either someone actually believes that you need to attract your guardian angel, or they’re naming music to place fear in people’s heads that their guardian angel might not be hanging out with them. You know… like they have somewhere else to be. Or they’ve just checked out.
One of my biggest pet peeves is when people humanize the Divine or angels. Would a human being check out on you? Sure. Do we really think that God checks out on us? Do we really think that guardian angels wander off – or worse – get mad at us or give up on us? Think how small that would make the angels. How petty and even vindictive. Are those really words we attribute to the “all that is” and its stewards of humanity?
Your guardian angels are always there. Never once do they waiver in their unconditional love and support for us. Never let anyone tell you differently.
Speaking of guardian angels, they’re going to be a big part of my Certified Angelic Advisor course that starts tomorrow (October 25th) and runs through the weekend. I am so excited and joyful to get to teach this class. And super excited to see the amazing students who signed up! Because of that, there won’t be a blog next Monday as I will be teaching all week and traveling back home on Halloween.
Angel blessings,

I Have Something to Confess …
So… I have something to confess. Something really weird that has been going on in my life since I moved back home to Denver. I’ve been keeping this on the downlow but I guess it’s time for me to “come out of the closet” one more time. I don’t even know how it...
Why Can’t Every Day Be April 7th?
Y’all know I am pretty good at full disclosure. However, I am gawd-awful at taking time off. Seriously, it’s problematic. Everyone says so. To give you a hint, I have been published 14 times over 12 years. My peers think I’m nuts. My publisher adores me. The first few...
My Thumb is Turning Green
Last summer, I purchased an 85-year-old house from a 92-year-old woman. She had lived here for 55 years. By all accounts, she was a master gardener in the past with the front yard being a right-proper English garden. Inside, the entire house had hooks in the...
OMG! My Perfect Day!
I recently had a perfect day. For the record, it was Saturday, March 1st. It had been a long time since I had had one. And honestly, it probably wouldn’t sound like “all that” to most people. But that’s the thing about perfect days. Everybody’s different. The...
I’m Done Playing It Safe
I’m currently in the process of making a big decision. I mean, it’s not a gigantic decision, but it’s still a significant one to me. And what I am increasingly aware of is that it feels like all of my decisions over the last year have been big decisions. Some of...
