In March of 2018, I signed a contract with Hay House to create two new decks. People are always surprised at how long it takes to publish something like a tarot deck. In comparison, books are a piece of cake. But tarot and oracle decks require way more planning – not to mention the work of an artist. One of those two decks is scheduled to come out in October of 2022. The other one, will be released on Wednesday, October 6th. It feels to me like it’s taken closer to four years to get here rather than two and a half. But I am more excited about Angel Wisdom Tarot Cards than anything I have ever done before.
When I envisioned Angel Wisdom Tarot, I wanted something different. Something unlike what I had done in the six decks that had preceded it. I wanted something that blended new and old symbolism and concepts. I wanted it to contain elements that I had never seen before in a tarot deck. But more than anything, what I wanted to give people was a deck that offered them an extra bit of help during challenging times. I never could’ve envisioned in my wildest dreams that Angel Wisdom would be published during some of the most difficult times my generation had ever seen.
One of my favorite things about working with the angels is that they can see what is coming even when we can’t. Clearly, their loving wisdom guided my hand in the creation of this deck in ways I couldn’t have foreseen. The Major Arcana is said to reflect major events in our lives. Well, we are certainly living those now. The Minor Arcana is seen as more day to day in nature. And yet, the day to day seems to be constantly turning us on our heads with major events!
Angel Wisdom Tarot Cards link every Minor Arcana “Pip” card (that’s the cards numbered Ace – Ten) to a Major Arcana card to help people get additional guidance on how to get through difficult situations. They also give us counsel on how to make the most of uplifting and exciting events in our lives. In addition to that, Angel Wisdom links those same “Pip” cards back to a particular Archangel who can provide comfort, protection, and wise counsel in both our daily lives and the big events that can define who we are.
The artwork by Dan Craig is luscious, sublime, and full of symbolism. Dan is my favorite artist I have ever worked with. He gave me what I asked for and more.
I have never been so proud of something I authored than now. I am so very honored to have been the angels’ and archangels’ channel for the time we are living through.
More than anything, I pray that it will give those who need it most comfort, insight, a sense that everything is going to be alright.
And it is going to be alright.

I just purchased the new deck! Can’t wait to get it. I, too, link the Pips with Major Arcana cards when I’m reading them, so I’m eager to see how that is done in this new deck. I’m very excited to learn all of the symbolism embedded in each card! It’s funny, I have to confess that I have never resonated visually with any of Radleigh’s decks. It isn’t that I don’t think they are lovely (they are!), but I’m just not visually (or thematically?) drawn to them as I am to other cards. It’s just a personal preference. BUT–I can honestly say that Radleigh’s approach to the tarot (and other cards) does resonate with me more than that of others. I only say that to point out to anyone else who might not feel immediately drawn to the deck that it might still be worth checking out because when it comes to learning the tarot, I find that Radleigh’s decks are the absolute best there are to learn from, whether you are a beginner or someone who has experience with the tarot. (Having said that, I prefer to read Strength as 8 and Justice as 11, but I just make the adjustment as I’m reading them.) So for my intents and purposes, which are to use this deck as a study tool to learn more about how to read ANY tarot deck, I would agree that this definitely does look like it’s going to be the best deck yet! All that symbolism. Woohoo!
