It was just one week ago that I was in Seattle teaching with the incomparable Dougall Fraser. My life is blessed with a sprinkling of what I call “instant best friends.” Perhaps you’ve experienced this? Meeting someone and becoming BFF’s immediately? Dougall is one of those people for me. Besides being an immensely gifted intuitive, he’s also funny, smart, and a blast to spend time with. We were teaching our “Angels & Auras” class in the Emerald City (Seattle) when a discussion with the attendees of the event prompted me to explain my theory on why we’re so in love with technology in this day and age.
After I had explained it, Dougall turned to me and said “Have you blogged about this?” I responded that I hadn’t. He then said “You should!”
Far be it from me to dispute the Cosmic Coach’s advice, so here goes:
I believe that the reason that we are so enamored with social media, cell phones, texting, and all manner of technology these days is because we’re actually used to being able to contact any soul we want to speak with instantaneously. We’re accustomed to being able to be wherever we want to be in an instant. We expect to be able to manifest our wishes out of thin air.
Maybe you’re wondering “What are you talking about Radleigh?”
You see, when we’re not in the body, that’s how things work! Pre this lifetime, and (if you’re like me and believe in reincarnation) between multiple lifetimes, we’re used to existing in the domain of the Divine where magic is like air to us. We breathe it in and we breathe it out! Want to see your soul family? Blink your eyes and “poof!” you’re with them! (That’s an “I dream of Jeannie” reference in case you didn’t catch that.) Want to be halfway across the galaxy? Wiggle your nose and “Zing!” you’re there! (That’s a “Bewitched” reference in case you missed that one, too.)
Think about it for a minute… If you’re reading this and are “of a certain age” I’m betting Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie were huge favorites of yours! How about Harry Potter? Did the books enchant your heart? Are you like me and holding your breath between episodes of the TV show The Magicians? Guess why?
Because down deep inside, that’s who you are! That’s who all of us are! We’re all magical drops of the Divine having a human experience. And technology on earth reminds us of the technology of the Divine and of the angels that we so deeply yearn for.
The kicker here is that we still have that magic within us. That’s the whole premise behind my book, How to Be Your Own Genie: Manifesting the Life You Were Born to Live. We are happiest and feel the most comfortable in our skin here on earth when we’re in touch with that divine Genie within. When we are aware of our own powerful magic to create, that’s when we remember who we truly are.
So while you’re going through your day texting, posting on social media, and chatting up the other side of the planet on Zoom, consider giving your nose a little wiggle, your eyes a big blink, or waving your etheric wand in the air.
Because you, baby? You’re totally magic.
Angel blessings,
~Radleigh

I’m impressed, I must say. Seldom do I encounter
a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you,
you’ve hit the nail on the head. The problem is something which too few people are speaking intelligently
about. I’m very happy that I found this during my search for something
concerning this.
